Subjective skin- reinventing the way you shop skincare

serenityzine01

"Subjective skin" is an up and coming skincare brand launching July 2021. They offer individualized skincare, prioritizing the needs of the consumer. It is founded by Astha Kanth and Lydia Lukyanov, woman who did not like what they saw at larger skin care companies.

"At subjective skin, we are trying to disrupt the industry by doing everything different. As two former skincare company employees, we literally took everything we wanted to change and built our own platform. This is the future we want to see for skincare, one that is individualized and prioritizes your skin over marketing.

We act as a skincare retailer, think of a Sephora for skincare. However we have stripped away everything subjective from the shopping experience as skincare product labels don’t end up on your skin. We only partner with sustainable, cruelty free, vegan brands that are up-and-coming. We allow these brands to compete on our site not based on pictures of their products but on reviews of people using them and objective information: the price and the ingredients. We also prioritize ingredients so much that we actually personalize the store for everyone who enters it. You have to take a skin quiz to enter and are therefore only shown products that would work for your skin type.

It’s important to prioritize the values you care about as a brand which is why we decided to collaborate with brands that really care about what matters in skincare. These aren’t brands that just ‘claim’ to be sustainable and vegan, but brands that actually practice this in every aspect of their production. Subjective Skin is currently collaborating with up-and-coming brands in the US, Canada, and Europe who care about sustainability, active ingredients and transparency. On our end, we are committed to sustainability by only allowing you to purchase products in your region. For example, if you are in Europe you will only be shown European products. Not only does this reduce the carbon footprint of overseas shipping, but it supports local brands near you. "
